It is a National Key Clinical Specialty Construction Unit of General Surgery (Vascular Surgery) and a Fujian Provincial Key Clinical Specialty of General Surgery (Vascular Surgery Specialty). It is also the affiliated unit of the Xiamen Peripheral Vascular Intervention Technology Quality Control Center and an Excellent Unit of the National Pulmonary Embolism and Deep Vein Thrombosis Prevention and Treatment Capability Construction Project "Thrombosis Prevention and Treatment Center," honored with titles such as Municipal Youth Civilization Unit and Municipal Direct Government Agency Women's Civilization Post.

Under the leadership of Director Huang Xiaojin, the Vascular Surgery Department adheres to the service concept of "patient-centered" and is committed to providing high-quality medical services. With strong technical capabilities, the department has made significant breakthroughs in minimally invasive techniques, achieving medical goals of less trauma, less pain, faster recovery, and shorter hospital stays. Its overall medical level ranks among the top in Fujian Province. Furthermore, the department has established close collaborative relationships with the Vascular Surgery Department of Changhai Hospital, Shanghai, and the Vascular Surgery Department of the Ninth People's Hospital Group, Shanghai. It is a minimally invasive technique training base for lower extremity venous diseases affiliated with the Ninth People's Hospital of Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine and a cultivation unit for wound repair specialty construction of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, among others, providing strong technical support and academic exchange platforms for the department's continuous development.
2.Treatment Scope
The Vascular Surgery Department covers a wide range of treatments, encompassing all arterial, venous, and lymphatic system diseases except for those of the heart and cerebrovascular system. Specifically, it includes arterial system diseases such as aneurysms, inflammatory arterial occlusive diseases, and arteriosclerotic occlusive diseases; venous system diseases such as deep vein thrombosis and its complications, and non-obstructive venous diseases; lymphatic system diseases such as lymphangitis, erysipelas, and lymphedema; and other diseases such as arteriovenous fistulas and hemangiomas. With a professional medical team and advanced medical equipment, the department provides precise and effective treatment plans for patients.

Based on conventional vascular surgery procedures, the department fully utilizes the hospital's technical and equipment advantages to perform a series of minimally invasive surgeries. These include minimally invasive treatments for lower extremity varicose veins, inferior vena cava filter placement + deep vein thrombus removal, endovascular aneurysm repair, and percutaneous transluminal angioplasty + stent placement for lower extremity arteriosclerotic occlusive diseases. These minimally invasive surgeries are characterized by less trauma, less bleeding, and better outcomes, receiving high praise from patients.
